The UHBDP will be implemented by MEDA and funded by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) The goal of the project is to substantially increase the incomes of small farmers in southern Ukraine.. The UHBDP will build upon the success and proven practices,and will apply market-driven value chain development methods,including: Access to high value markets Post-harvest storage facilities Local value added processing (cleaning,grading,packaging,branding) Access to credit Access to productive technologies and farm input supplies In addition to building the capacity of small farmers, The UHBDP will partner and work closely with local educational institutions,agribusinesses and Key Facilitating Partners (KFPs).
